NADIA BOUCHER - Piano, Theory, History Nadia Boucher holds a Master of Music Degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Ottawa and an A.R.C.T. Performer's Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music (Canada). She is at home in a broad range of musical styles and performs regularly with vocalists and instrumentalists alike, including renowned Canadian mezzo-soprano and host of CBC Radio 2's Tempo, Julie Nesrallah and as a member of the Passport Duo with cellist Samuel Bisson. Ms. Boucher has performed at festivals throughout Canada and the United States including the Banff Summer Arts Festival, Scotia Festival of Music, the Toronto Summer Music Festival and the Piano Wellness Seminar, and has been featured on CBC Radio. Aside from her performing career, she enjoys teaching piano, theory and music history to students of all ages and levels. SAMUEL BISSON - Cello, Theory Samuel Bisson is a Toronto based cellist who holds a Master's degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Ottawa. He performs frequently as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player. He has performed with renowned Canadian piano trio, the Gryphon Trio and performs regularly as part of the Passport Duo with pianist, Nadia Boucher. Mr. Bisson has performed and participated in festivals across Canada including the National Arts Centre Young Artist Program, Scotia Festival of Music, and the Toronto Summer Music Academy and Festival and has been featured on CBC Radio. Beyond cello performance, Mr. Bisson is a composer and has had many works performed by ensembles across the country and recently completed scoring music for the award winning short film Nuit Blanche. DANIEL BRENNER - Music Theatre, Pop Voice With a resume including Mirvish Productions, Alliance Atlantic and TreehouseLive, Mr. Brenner brings nearly two decades of experience and training to Passport Music. A graduate of Sheridan Institute's Music Theatre Performance Program, Mr. Brenner had the opportunity to train with top industry professionals including Marie Baron, Donna Feore and Juno Nominee Mary-Lu Zahalan. Some favorite past roles include; Mark (Rent), Bill Sykes (Oliver!), Harry (Company), Jack (Into The Woods), Tommy (Tommy) and Dickon (The Secret Garden). Mr. Brenner also spent 8 years building and maintaining the Centre Stage Music Theatre Program at Centre Camp. While there he directed more than 15 productions and trained more than 300 children in vocal, acting and dance technique. Currently, Mr. Brenner has completed his 4th National Tour with TreehouseLive and can be seen performing in his home town of Toronto. |

EUGENIA DERMENTZIS - Classical Voice, Beginner Piano Eugenia Dermentzis' passion and commitment to the arts has always been a driving force in her career both as a performer and music educator. She has recently completed a Master of Music in Voice Literature and Performance from the University of Western Ontario where she held a TA position instructing first year music students in voice as well as a Bachelor of Education (vocal music teachable) from the University of Toronto. Alongside her experiences in the field of music education, Ms. Dermentzis is an avid performer in opera and operetta across the country. Some of her roles and performance experiences include: Enrichetta di Francia in I Puritani (Opera in Concert), Lapàk in The Cunning Little Vixen (Banff Opera as Theatre), Dritte Dame in Die Zauberflöte (Opera Nuova), Olga Olsen in Street Scene (UWOpera), Alto Soloist for Vivaldi's Gloria (Orchestra London), La Zia Principessa in Suor Angelica (UWOpera) and Nicklausse in The Tales of Hoffmann (Summer Opera Lyric Theatre). Ms. Dermentzis is a recipient of the London Opera Guild Scholarship, and winner and finalist of the National Association of Teachers of Singing Student Auditions (Great Lakes Region). |
